Five Trees in Denmark

The original photo in monochrome was of a place in Denmark the idea of which I borrowed from the film ‘Danish Girl’.  There is a scene of Eddie Redmayne painting this.  I chose to do my own version using a combination of Brusho and acrylics.  I started with a wash of assorted colours in Brusho.  I wanted something that would be different and colourful.  I certain achieved that with the various colours.  I thoroughly enjoyed doing this just to experiment and see what happened.  I decided to leave the outline of the trees as simple lines rather than trying to fill in the detailed branches which might have detracted from the colourful background.  It is nothing like the original and that is what I wanted to achieve.  Something of my own.
